Here in Bundoora we provide caring advice and treatment for conditions of the skin, hair and nails. This includes basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell and melanoma and assessment of moles. We also receive referrals for other conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss and vulval conditions.

Phototherapy with narrowband UVB, and hand and foot PUVA are available for conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

Surgical or non surgical management is available for skin cancers.

What is a Dermatologist?

A dermatologist is a qualified medical specialist who, through additional training, has obtained postgraduate qualifications from the Australasian College of Dermatologists to specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin diseases and skin cancers.

Dermatologists treat patients of all ages, from babies and children to adolescents and adults.

About Dr. Fiona Bruce

Dr Fiona Bruce completed her medical degree at Monash University, then worked in various hospitals in Melbourne including the Alfred hospital. She then trained in dermatology at the Alfred hospital, the Austin, Monash Medical Centre and the Western General hospital. She is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and an International Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

She is a visiting dermatologist at the Austin, and at the Vulval Conditions Clinic at the Mercy Hospital for Women.

Referral

A current referral from your doctor is required to be able to claim a Medicare rebate. This must be obtained before your visit. A referral from your general practitioner is valid for twelve months unless otherwise specified. A referral from another specialist is valid for three months.

Please phone 9467 4388 to make an appointment. An information sheet will then be sent out to you prior to your appointment to be filled in and brought in with you.

About the venue

The rooms are located at 1340 Plenty Road Bundoora. The nearest major intersection is Settlement Road and Plenty Road. The rooms are located just south of Bundoora shops. This is opposite the Vet and Groom n’ Zoom carwash. Melways reference: Map 9, J12

Car parking facilities

Limited free car parking is available down the driveway behind the practice. Other parking is available at the Bundoora shops, at the Yulong Reserve and in the street behind the practice (Alma Road).
